Bruised and Battered

Universal Principles

I came back from vacation bruised and battered. Most people go away on vacation to rest, but I came back with a Torn Rib Cage Muscle.

What do you learn when the world serves up problems for you?

I thought fully relaxing was relaxing from work ONLY but I realized quickly that relaxing for me was supposed to be no work and NO working out. Mind and Body at ease. Unfortunately, I didn’t listen. Well, turns out God had a different plan for me. In one day I went Canoeing, snorkeling, played tennis, and played basketball and YEP ripped my rib cage muscle.

Since I’ve been back it’s been hard to sleep, drive my car, walk, talk and do pretty much anything. And of all things, I have a full day speaking engagement today for 9 hrs.

What do you learn when the world serves up problems for you?

Here’s what I learned:

1) Every problem shows up with the solution already within it.
-For weeks I was so tired of working out. It was weighing on me mentally. But I didn’t listen and I got a problem alright. Torn rib cage muscle. But the problem has been an amazing gift.

How?
– With the time I’m not spending working out, I’m meditating.  I feel more connected than ever to god and I’m happier than ever.
-With my additional time I’m reading and writing to you.
-With my injury I am healing myself with prayer every single night and I’m making a speedy recovery.

I’ve been given the gift of realization that walking, talking, breathing is a miracle from god and I’m even more grateful for my health and life than I have ever been. I truly know that I have the power to heal myself and the power to share my gifts with the world in an even more profound way.

Am I crazy to be speaking for 9 hrs tomorrow? No, I feel blessed that I’m healing and I have the power to inspire others. God gifted me with this and I intend to deliver.

So the next time a Problem, Inconvenience, or challenge shows up in your life…. Ask yourself: where’s the opportunity Or solution in this problem?

…..It’s there. Trust me. You just have to step outside yourself and look from a different vantage point.

Defy The Odds,

Ted
